Explanation of IP

Explanation of IP
To set the address of each computer on a network, the IP address is used. IP Address is an address given to the network equipment can be identified by the computer to another computer. Thus, each computer can make the process of exchanging data / information, access the Internet, or access to a computer network using TCP / IP. IP Address is used to identify a network interface on the host of a machine (computer). IP addresses consist of a group of 32-bit binary number that is divided into 4 sections. Each section consists of 8 bits, which means it has a decimal value from 0 to 255. Every 8 bits are called octets.
IP addresses can be separated into two parts, the network ID and a host ID. Host ID serves to identify the host in a network. While the Network ID serves to identify a network from another network. This means that all hosts connected on the same network have the same network ID as well. Some of the early part of the bits of the IP address is the network ID or network number, while the rest is for the host. The dividing line between the network and the host is not fixed (constant), depending on the class of network that we use.
There are several classes of IP addresses used in the TCP / IP in a network, namely class A, class B, class C, class D and class E.
Class A, Class B, and Class C are three classes of addresses used on IP networks in general practice, IP Address Class D is used for multicasting, the use of the application jointly by a number of computer
IP Address Class E
In the E-class IP network address, the first 4 bits of the IP address is 1 1 1 1.IP address class E has a range between 240.0.0.0 - 254.255.255.255.IP Address class E is the class of the IP address that is "experimental" or trial . Experiments are prepared for the use of IP addresses in the future.
The first four bits are always set to binary 1111. The remaining 28 bits are used as an address that can be used to identify the host.
The standard defines an IPv4 network address Class E as a backup, which means that they should not be used on IP networks. Several research organizations use Class E addresses for experimental purposes. However, the node which tries to use the address on the Internet will not be able to communicate well.
